對于沒有特殊要求的電纜橋架來說，電鍍鋅與熱浸鋅比較起來技術簡單，本錢較低。電鍍鋅經鈍化處理后能夠明顯地進步其防腐功用。電鍍鋅層一般在6μm左右，因此不適用于對耐腐蝕壽數要求較高的場合。

電鍍鋅我國有頒布規范：如GB/T13912-2002、JT/T281-95、GB2694-81等。挑選電鍍層時，涂層厚度，涂層吸附力強，通過耐腐蝕試驗，不同的訴求對于目標的挑選也是不同的。我國現在出產鍍鋅橋架的廠家，在參考國標時也不盡相同。選用電鍍鋅鎳合金或鍍鋅后進行高鈍化處理，可以明顯進步橋架耐蝕性。

三、粉末噴涂工藝。

PVC資料一般是粉末涂料，聚酯粉末或防腐粉末，涂層厚度約60μm 。靜電噴涂具有外形漂亮，抗化學腐蝕的功用。但與金屬鍍層比較，粘附性低，耐臟性和耐磨損較差。遭受簡單外部撞擊，可致使其局部涂層掉落，使得內部鋼材腐蝕，構成大面積涂層起泡脫皮。運用UV涂料的橋架，一般不適合在戶外運用。

四、涂防銹漆。

較大尺度的構件，因為鍍鋅設備條件所限，一般只能選用涂防銹漆的方法來處理。這當然具有本錢低，操作便利等優勢，但防腐蝕性能較差。其工程壽數短暫，為了確保工程質量，一般不宜運用。

不管在沿海地區濕度高或是空氣二氧化硫指數高的區域，現已廣泛運用鋁合金橋架。電纜橋架質料為鋁合金的，大氣露出試驗效果表明，該電纜橋架在耐腐蝕方面具有明顯優勢，特別是選用陽氧化鋁腐蝕，效果非常好。
